Cheesy Bacon Fat Head Biscuits

These delicious low-carb and gluten-free Cheesy Bacon Fat Head Biscuits are sure to please. They make a tasty and filling snack or side dish because they are brimming with the savory goodness of bacon and cheese. Ideal for anyone on a ketogenic or low-carb diet.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1 cup almond flour

  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese

  • 1/4 cup cooked and crumbled bacon

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish optional

Instructions:

Set the oven temperature to 375F 190C


Mix the cream cheese and mozzarella cheese in a bowl that is safe to use in the microwave


Microwave the cheeses for 30 second intervals, stirring in between, until they are melted and thoroughly mixed


Mix the almond flour, baking powder, onion, garlic, and salt and pepper in a different bowl


Mix thoroughly after adding the egg and crumbled bacon to the almond flour mixture


Once the almond flour mixture resembles dough, pour the melted cheese mixture into it and stir


Divide the dough into six equal portions and form them into biscuit rounds using your hands


Transfer the biscuit rounds to a silicone baking mat or parchment paper-lined baking sheet


Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the biscuits are firm to the touch and golden brown, in a preheated oven


Take them out of the oven, top with some freshly chopped parsley if you'd like, and allow them to cool for a couple of minutes before serving
